I o error 123

I o error 123

Occasional errors with 32-bit Delphi 7 application on Windows 7 64-bit
Hi, I have a 32-bit Delphi 7 application which was deployed on some machines with Windows 7 64-bit. The application occasionally displays errors such as: "Error reading ppDBText37.Border.Color: Inval occurs): Color = clBtnFace *Font.Charset = EASTEUROPE_CHARSET* Font.Color = clNavy If the form containing those components is closed and opened again (or if the application is restarted), the problem does not reproduce. Also, on 32-bit Windows (e.g. XP) the problem does not show at all. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of those errors? Maybe any suggestion on what to check to find out the root cause of the problem? Problem with viewing Windows SDK help files from Delphi 7 under Windows 7
Hi, I recently installed Delphi 7 on a Windows 8 machine putting it into a non-system folder. PB 7.0 Build 5031 Window-level functions NOT Windows API function
I am using the evaluation copy of PB 7. I have created a function in a window, uf_helpme(String as_text). I would like to add an additional parameter so that it is uf_helpme(String as_text, Integer level). How do you do this? The only thing I can figure out is to delete and re-create the function. Is there a way to edit the parameters and return values of a function? Is there a way to copy a window-level function (Save As..). TIA. Delphi 7 won’t start up anymore on Windows 7 (except in Windows safe mode) [Edit]
I’m using Delphi 7 PE under Windows 7 Home Edition. Since four days Delphi will not start anymore. When I start, I see an entry "delph32.exe" in the Windows Task Manager (process tab, not application tab) but this will disappear sillently after some seconds. No error or warning message is given. I tried several things already, after searching the internet for a solution: — start delphi in comptability mode — start delphi as administrator — give full right on the installation directory of delphi — disable UAC — restore windows to the previous restore point None of these helped. I’ve even tried to reinstall Delphi, but i get the same problem with the install.exe from the distribution disk. Only when I start Windows in safe mode Delphi will run! But since I have only limited functionality available in safe mode, I can hardly test my application. Hope someone can help me, please. Disable or remove your AV software and try again. DoDi Nope, i turned off both anti virus and firewall but no luck. Still same behavior. Delphi 7, Windows 8.1 and Runtime error 216
Hello everybody First of all — Happy New Year 😉 I have installed Delphi 7 in Windows 8.1 recently. All third party components I use and their sources, were taken from working D7 installation in Windows 7 and most of them were installed from bpls copied from Win 7 machine. I’m able to compile projects, applications run fine. The problem I have is that when I close the application (while debugging) EAccessViolation exception raises. It doesn’t take place when I compile same project on Win 7 machine. Since the call stack window is empty, I’m ‘lost in the dark’ a bit. .

Reinstall Delphi 7 on Windows 7?
My projects work fine in Delphi 7 on my old XP machine so the problems I am now experiencing under Windows 7 must be due to the Delphi set-up in Windows 7. I have attempted to reinstall this — after entering my serial number and authorization code the installer bombs out with the error "1311 file not found C:Program FilesBorlandDELPHI

1.cab . " certainly this file does not exist but nor does it exist on the XP machine. I downloaded the original Delphi from the old Borland site which is now not avai lable. Does anyone know what this *.cab file is all about or how I can get new.

Delphi 7 + Windows 7 = No Help
Okay, so has anyone figured a solution to this problem yet? Delphi 7 uses winhelp for it’s help system and Windows 7 does not include winhelp. The problem: Although Vista has a winhelp download, Windows 7 does not, and the Vista winhelp download will not install on Windows 7. The solution: Waiting to find out. Using Delphi 7 in Windows 7
I have recently upgraded my system to Windows 7. I have Delphi 7 working to some extent — it will open my projects and display my units and allow me to edit the code then compiles the *.exe file — BUT it will not display my forms. View/Forms — shows the list of forms and will open the associated unit but neither this nor F12 will display the form itself. Consequently I am unable to edit the form itself or its properties. Any ideas about what might be preventing these from displaying? > > I have recently upgraded my system to Windows 7. I h.

Application.ProcessMessages causes Div by Zero error on Windows 7 Home
I have a FM XE4 project developed in Windows XP. When I run it on a Windows 7 Home Premium system running on a 64 bit machine, I get an error "Floating Point Divide by Zero at 0x0502b213" when the code hits an Application.ProcessMessages instruction (also when an Innerglow effect is triggered. presumably the same issue). The application runs fine on Windows 7 Professional on both 32 bit machine and 64 bit machine. Has anyone else encountered this? Does anyone know of the cause or solution? It can be easily recreated by dropping a button on a form and entering the following in the button’s OnClick event. procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject); begin Application.ProcessMessages; end; Richard simon wrote: > I have a FM XE4 project developed in Windows XP. All Global External Function declarations cause syntax error in PowerBuilder 7
All Global External Function declarations cause syntax errors in PowerBuilder 7 with no description whatsoever. Does anyone know what causes this? (I’m using the desktop version) Has anyone successfully made external function calls in PowerBuilder 7? You can email me at reynolds@fincad.com Sybase claims that the external function calls can be added to any script window (painter). Is this really true? Is there an alternate place they can be declared? I am amazed that PowerBuilder 7 is actually worse than version 5. I didn’t think that was possible. Th.

Delphi 7, Upgrade Path, Windows 7

Lock Time Out
A D7 BDE/Paradox application that has been problem free on a W2k platform has started throwing "Lock time out" errors having been moved to a Windows 7 platform. The applications run OK interactively and only appear to raise the "Lock time out" error if left unattended overnight when all instances apepar to hit the same problem at some point. Windows 7 and Delphi 7, 32 or 64 bit?
I am in the process of getting a new PC and these days there is a choice between 32 and 64 bit operating system (Win7). I have both Delphi7 Pro and BDS2006, where most of my work tends to still be done in Delphi 7. My question now is: Does Delphi 7 work correctly in Windows 7 x64 or do I have to install the 32 bit version in order to work with Delphi 7? This is about the IDE, not programs created with Delphi, which I already know work fine in Win7x64. I am worried about the impact of new security measures in Win7 and incompatibilities between the Delphi7 debugger and Win7x64. Bo .
